  • Bay Area Xanga Meet Recap (Pics + Video)

If I calculated correctly, I met up with 43 Xangans this past year.  Crazy!  I must really enjoy the experience if I keep doing so.

My journey went throughout San Fransisco, San Jose, Oakland, and Sacramento.  Let’s start at the beginning, shall we?   Continue reading

  • Our Awkward generation.

I’ve noticed that our generation, kids born from 1986 and on could be labeled as the “awkward generation.”  We say awkward/strange things, we will sit in the same room and im each other from our computers, we spend hours living computer-generated alternate lives(SIMS, Farmville), we connect better with people on online blogs  than face to face, we kiss strangers at the club and sleep with our dates after just one date.  We are afraid to commit, afraid to get to know someone because we don’t really want anyone to truly know us. • Does Your Face Affect Your Personality?

Since the dawn of my existence I have been pelted with comments like “What’s wrong, bad day?” or “You looked tired.” Although I have a nice smile in the picture above my mouth normally sits in a small pouty frown, and with those eyes to match it, most people assume that I’m depressed even when absolutely nothing has happened to get me down.

I’ve had people tell me that my eyes make me look very thoughtful, tired, kind, sad, and from less tactful people…high…

  • labels.. labels.. labels..

To me labels are what ruins human relationships. (well at least most of the time)

    Example:

Sometimes when a person reaches to a higher job position, they will change the way they use to be. That can be because they have to, in order for them to fit in the job environment (being a leader), or most of the time they think they can do or say whatever to the people that works below them.  Continue reading

  • Dear body,

Dear feet, You take me everywhere I need to go. You put up with a lot, my friends. I’m sorry for making fun of how big you are, for cramming you into shoes that hurt, and for dressing you up in those ridiculous outfits I call mismatched socks. Thank you for taking it all, and not hating me when I run around barefoot all summer or spend too many hours kicking a soccer ball. You’ve been stepped on, you’ve stepped on things (sharp things), and you’ve taken a lot of abuse over the years. Yet you still let me use you to walk, to run, to play soccer, and to do other ridiculous things that I sometimes do. Thank you, feet.

  • “He’s Just Not That Into You”: I Highly, Highly Disagree

After hearing a bunch of hype about the book, and seeing that they made a movie about it, I decided to see what all the fuss was about. I’d heard summaries that definitely gave me a weird idea of it – basically, it says that if a guy likes a girl, he’ll jump through hoops for her and let nothing stop him from going for her – and this appalled me.

After sitting in a Barnes and Noble, and flipping through a few chapters, I felt a loss of faith in the human race overall. I feel as if too many times, women assume that guys don’t have emotions, fears, or insecurities. Either that, or women know that, but choose to treat the male gender as a species or breed of animals, and categorize them as lower-class or higher-class, and decide to “weed through losers” in a process of tests, “screening methods”, and the like.  Continue reading

  • Xanga Baby Pictures

In light of all these great community projects on Xanga recently, I decided to contribute one of my own. Baby pictures! Come on, you know everybody’s baby pictures are crazy cute and sometimes it’s interesting to see the resemblance between the baby picture and the current picture. You can make a URL of your baby picture alongside a current picture and send it to me.

    Here are mine:

  • Craziest videos of 2009

In a year that featured the likes of Susan Boyle and Piano Cat, the video age has allowed virtually anyone to be a YouTube sensation, with little or no regard for the sanctity of common human decency.

In the spirit of the new year and decade, I present to you my choices for the first annual QUASI Awards in the category of videos of the year, 2009 edition: Continue reading
