  • I Am a Teen Mom

I feel this subject should be broached to all teen girls at one point. So I’ll get it out of the way: I am a teen mom.

I was pregnant at the age of 16 (by accident). I had my daughter April-4-2008, when i was 17. I was SCARED. Everyone was scared. My boyfriend and I spent time crying for a long while before we became ok with the “we can do this” idea. I did take responsibility for my actions. I am raising a gorgeous daughter but at a cost from my own future.

Please don’t get me wrong, I would not change my life for anything in the world.  Continue reading

  • The Ugly Truth About Bloggers…

Riddle: What is a commonly known fact about most bloggers, but is something they would never openly admit to?

Answer: Bloggers are very self centered people.

Now is the part where you say, “well most of them are, but not me.” Now is also the part where I tell you how full of crap you are.  Continue reading

  • Victim, turned Bully

Middle school was one of the most miserable experiences of my entire life.  Though it was only three years, it felt like closer to eight.  I wasn’t exactly the expressive, picture-happy, confident girl that my blog currently portrays me as.  I was more of the awkward, geeky, but-wants-to-be-cool girl, with crooked teeth,  that only weighed 70lbs and was six inches shorter than the rest of my class. • Romantic Comedies Vs. Romantic Tragedies

I seem to be watching a lot of movies lately… Such an awful student, lol. Anyway!

Last night I watched Tristan and Isolde, and I cried. (I mean, I cry a lot, about pretty much anything that it’s possible to cry about, so it’s not some great feat to make me cry. But still, I did.) I think it’s pretty much the worst thing in the world to have the person you love most die. Seeing that always breaks my heart. I can’t even watch the music video for Avril Lavigne’s “When You’re Gone” without bursting into tears.

But for some reason, I always seem to love watching these sorts of romantic tragedies. Much more than I like watching romantic comedies. Continue reading

  • The Average-Kinda-Nerdy-Girl.

I know perfectly, I am not a looker. But I am not horrendous.
The girls I ate with today, are flirt magnets. They are winked, Looked @, Sexualized 3 times a week.
For me, If a girl gets hit on, I think she is accepted by society, because they are pretty & interest worthy.
But I do not get that attention. Sometimes I wished I did because I want to be accepted.

As I go on each day, I dont get stared like they do, and Guys dont approach me like they do.
I have a boyfriend, but I would like to say I am worthy of looks and not my boyfriend is a bad picker of girls.

Until today, I must say I am glad I am seen as a human being by my guy friends, love for who I am by my boyfriend, and has never been looked at like a sexualized object.

    Because: Continue reading

  • 5 Things I Would NEVER Let My Boyfriend Wear

  • Anti-Bullying Week (I Was One)

    November 16-20 is Anti-Bullying Week…

I stood out by the portable, as were the rest of my classmates, waiting for the teacher to come back from lunch so we can get back to our schoolwork. It was 1993… I was 9, soon to be 10, and in the fourth grade. Then, out of nowhere, I heard someone pipe up with the same malicious taunt I had grown all too accustomed to… Continue reading

  • Do You Have Clean Plate Syndrome?

I believe that clean plate syndrome is very typical and common in North American culture. We finish every bite of food on our plates because we have a reluctance to waste food. When I grew up, people often told me to “think of the children in third world countries who are starving!” However, with today’s restaurant portion sizes, the habit of always cleaning one’s plate can easily lead to weight gain.

One thing that I noticed while I was living in Hong Kong was that people often left behind a little bit of food on their plates at restaurants. I rarely s aw people finish their entire meals. I believe this cultural difference may be due to the fact that leaving some food behind on your plate indicates that you are wealthy enough to not have to care about food wastage. It also shows that you really are full — if you finished everything on your plate, technically you could have eaten more right? Where is your threshold?

What are the benefits of leaving a couple of bites behind?  Continue reading
