Let’s Change The Front Page!
Presumably there is a procedure for getting posts we like onto the front page. Here is what I know about it. If I am incorrect on any of this please point out my errors and I will edit this post.
Step one = find a post you like, I found this one today
(you can click on the image for a better view)
I find that clicking on the title of the post gives me the simple link to copy and paste.
Step two = Xanga requires the simple link not the long complicated ones. You will find the link at the top of the window just copy (CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) onto the submissions page. This is what the link looks like. (you can click on it for a better view)
Step three = open this page (xanga has no easy, obvious, link to this that I have found so I keep it in my favorites)

paste that nice clean link you have into the box at the top
click submit and you post is now submitted….
to vote for your post and others click the vote tab at the top of the page
it will take you to this page but this page is arranged to have the ones with the most votes on top and yours being new will not have the most votes ….. yet, so click on the drop down arrow in the sort by box
select most recent
select and click on the post you submitted or any other one you want to vote on by clicking vote now
the text of the post will open and you will need to scroll all the way to the bottom of that to find the vote button
…………and that’s how it’s done……. so next time you are tempted to complain that the front page stinks remember that we can make some sort of change in that.
***there are rules for submissions I think that they can’t be rated above C? and they can’t be on friends lock? I think the rules are on the submission page, and I have no idea how to tell what a rating is for a post or whether or not someone is on friends lock.
